Richard M Taylor has been involved in the hydroelectric sector since 1985. He has served as the CEO of the International Hydropower Association (IHA) in since 2001. His interests span energy, water, climate and sustainability. He is graduate in earth science/water resources, with postgraduate studies in civil- and environmental engineering and renewable energy, and is a Fellow of the Energy Institute (UK). He has written and edited numerous technical papers and periodicals on water and energy, and has been engaged in the work of the United Nations, the World Bank and various international water and energy agencies throughout his career.
